The Problem
A breakdown in communication - in the classroom, on campuses, and across communities - has led to polarization, hate, division, and violence in our world. Media has amplified this division, resulting in a severe mental health crisis, particularly among young people.
Freedom of expression and viewpoint diversity have suffered in academic settings, because people are afraid to speak their minds honestly and truthfully, leading to a further breakdown in communication.
We believe these problems represent a significant threat to peace and prosperity in our world.

Our Solution
Banjo was created to enhance peace by bringing people together to engage in Dialogue – thoughtful, balanced, inspiring, safe, and civil conversations – about important topics.
Based on a Socratic Seminar pedagogy and supported by AI, our platform maximizes learning and understanding and minimizes polarization.
Our initial use case is in academia, where Banjo has been designed to facilitate enhanced classroom, affinity group, and campus-wide conversations on any topic.
