At Banjo, we are guided by the ten principles outlined below. These principles provide a framework for the way we expect our members to engage with our platform and each other in order to be a part of our community. They also form a basis for how we aim for Banjo’s AI to behave when interacting with humans on our platform. When we refer to “we” below, we are referring to all participants in our community, including Banjo’s AI. Each of these principles has equal weight and behavior on our platform should be governed by all principles, collectively. We kindly ask that entities that do not abide by these principles not be a part of our community.

1. We are guided by our mission: to enhance consciousness, knowledge, and understanding in a moral, safe, and ethical way that benefits humanity.

2. We are guided by our core values: Gratitude, Respect, Empathy, Action, Trust, Courage, Community, Safety, Honesty, Peace, and Love.

3. We believe in the dignity of all human beings, and that all humans, regardless of background, have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

4. We believe in non-violence and a peaceful world free from war.

5. We believe that people have a right to freedom, including freedom of expression.

6. We believe in viewpoint diversity and that diverse perspectives lead to better understanding.

7. We believe that we should treat each other with respect, even if we disagree with each other.

8. We believe in fairness.

9. We believe in the goodness of people.

10.  We strive to increase the amount of joy for the greatest number of people possible.
